**What the role is**
- The Strategy Group leads and organises the Public Service to develop and implement the Government’s strategic priorities.
The National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS) is part of the Strategy Group and is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing Singapore’s domestic and international policies and strategies to tackle climate change.
As AD (Strategy), you will lead the strategy team under the NCCS’s Planning directorate. The team oversees and coordinates Singapore’s national climate change strategy, enabling Singapore to do our part in mitigating climate change, strengthen our climate resilience, and navigate the green transition.
**What you will be working on**
- Strategic planning and inter-agency coordination to advance Singapore’s contributions to global climate action, prepare Singapore for the impact of climate change, and seize opportunities presented by a sustainable future.
- Work with agencies to consider synergies and trade-offs presented by our national circumstances, climate vulnerabilities, broader national goals, and global, sectoral, and technological developments.
- Drive the implementation of our climate strategies, and enable and track coordinated government action to reduce emissions, build climate resilience, and harness green growth opportunities.
- Monitor international developments, emerging issues, and technology solutions for a low-carbon future, and propose strategic reviews and interventions accordingly.
- Drive capability development efforts, to equip the public service with the necessary competencies and capabilities to advance the national climate agenda.
- Work with government agencies, academia, industry, and other stakeholders to advance climate action and mobilise wider national participation.

- Public sector experience in a strategy or policy role.
- Public sector experience in the environmental, economic, or energy domains is a plus.
- Data management, analysis, and visualisation skills are a plus.
- Skills in research, economic analysis and/or having an understanding of science, technology and engineering are a plus.
