**Responsibilities**
- Establish new FX & Derivatives Middle Office in Mizuho Securities (Singapore) and oversee the implementation of new middle office systems.
- Establish new Trade & Transaction reporting team.
- Responsible for processing of day-to-day operational activities between customers, front office and other operational teams to ensure all transactions are properly processed and reported as necessary.
- Ensure compliance to our regulatory obligations.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure all reconciliations are performed and escalated in a timely manner
- Full understanding of regulatory landscape, as it pertains to FX & Derivatives Middle Office and its impact on the day-to-day running of the function.
- Ensure all cash and security fails are resolved within a timely manner
- Promote operational excellence
- Ensure Function is aligned to the firm’s strategic objectives and business imperatives
- Support Pan-Asia Head of Fixed Income Middle Office in delivering their technology and operating model strategy
- Promote an inclusive working environment
- Drive process improvement and system automation
- Clearly define team’s roles & responsibilities
- Support the implementation of new products
- Retain & develop talent
- Ensure compliance to Department and Firms Operational Risk & Regulatory requirements
- Ensure appropriate KRI’s and KPI’s are in place
- Responsible for staff objective setting, appraisals, and training.
- Manage external vendor relationships

**Skills, Competencies & Qualifications**
- Minimum 10 years’ experience obtained in Middle Office and Regulatory reporting functions.
- Experience in establishing, managing, and leading a Middle Office and Regulatory reporting function
- Strong understanding of FX & Derivatives
- Previous experience with Murex
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and their impact on day-to-day operations
- Fluency in verbal and written English
- Good self-motivation
- Rigorous approach to controls and the minimization of operational risk
- Entrepreneur mindset
- Proficiency in Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills
- Analytical mind & problem-solving aptitude
- Strong communication & negotiation skills
- Proven people management skills/strong desire to engage with and develop junior staff
- Time management and ability to prioritize effectively
