Singapore National University Hospital Full time

Reporting to the Consultant, Dept. of Haematology-Oncology, a Case Management Officer in NCIS operates in the Inpatient setting, performs routine clinical and clerical tasks under the supervision of a physician and he/she does not practice medicine.

**The Challenges**
- Document patient care and progress by charting in inpatient and department records on behalf of the supervising physician. Records will be vetted within a reasonable time limit by the supervising physician as determined by the Department.
- Prepare discharge and transfer summaries and supporting documents in a timely manner for review and vetting by the supervising physician.
- Assist the medical team to prepare referral letters and documents to other departments.
- Assist in the care coordination of appointments and diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies. All tests must have the approval of the supervising physician, who will be responsible for accurate ordering of tests.
- Scribe for the doctors during the ward rounds.
- Maintain safe and patient-centric working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations of the Department and Hospital.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational sessions, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks.

- Other tasks which may be assigned by Dept Head, and supervising physician

**Job Requirements**:
Qualification:

- Bachelor of Biomedical Science or Science related disciplines

**Experience**:

- Any prior healthcare industry experience will be an advantage Basic computer literacy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Service orientated and customer focused.
