The Fixed Income Associate position reports to Head of Fixed Income and interfaces with all existing business verticals and functions - cash trading, margin, CFD bonds, clearing & settlements. He/she will work closely with supporting businesses in ensuring business continuity in trading execution, managing surplus liquidity through funding channels and in monitoring portfolios and positions.

**Responsibilities**:
The incumbent will be responsible for:

- Trade execution and product support for all sales channels across CGS-CIMB.
- Develop an understanding of Fixed Income trading business and life-cycle management of FI holdings - including clearing, settlements, substitution, interest accruals and corporate actions.
- Manage collateral/financing activities and liquidity for all FI portfolios in synthetic and physical form, with focus on creation and development of Fixed Income products.
- Monitor bond portfolios through valuation, performance, interest rates, maturity, characteristics, and risk parameters relative to benchmarks; In order to identify any potential discrepancies.
- To adopt cost optimization concepts around financing decisions, collateral management and liquidity placements for various business verticals.

**Job Requirements**

- High attention to detail and accuracy, good time management and ability to multitask.
- Understand the involvement of FI financing activity with business/portfolio management and has an appreciation of front-mid-back trade cycle workflows.
- Familiar with simplified data gathering & analysis skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and plan for own work schedule.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in similar capacity.
- Relevant CMFAS certifications.
