The Assistant Director, HRBP for NUHS Diagnostics and Pharmacy reports to the GCHRO,NUHS and works closely with the HODs to build a centre for medical (professional) excellence in the identified healthcare domains. The incumbent will align business objectives and business needs with HR work plans and initiatives as well as deliver and advise on key HR programs and policies namely manpower planning, talent acquisition, performance management process, employee engagement, talent retention. He/she will also provide coaching support to the business leaders as required.

The incumbent will lead the engagement with HODs to develop and implement robust manpower planning and resourcing strategies to recruit quality talent to meet the business manpower needs, identifies talent for development and retention, performance manage and drive employee engagement. As a team lead, the incumbent will provide supervision and coaching to the junior HRBPs in the team and lead and manage HR projects in collaboration with other HR functions where required.

Accountabilities:

- Manage the end to end recruitment process.
- Annual Manpower Budgeting Process
- Lead and manage the process for the business.
- Review the submissions to various HR partners and Finance.
- Engage with HODs on their planning and submissions.
- Stakeholder/partner/HOD management
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to HODs and line managers that contribute towards a seamless annual Total Performance Management Exercise.
- Supervise and manage the annual AWS and Bonus payment review process.
- Lead and manage the various HR programs namely - annual Talent Management 9-box exercise, the annual Succession Planning exercise, and EES exercise.
- Provide advice and solutions to address issues faced by HODs and line managers.
- Ensure consistent HR processes and policies that support the business and complies with local regulations and Group requirements.
- Resolve employee relations issues through thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
- Provide supervision to junior HRBPs on all HR operational matters and issues, coaching them to become independent and credible HR partners.
- Manage and lead other projects where assigned.
- For the NHG transition, to lead and manage all HR matters relevant to the taking over of services and assets from NHG. (FY21 to go - live date)

Qualification Required and Area of Discipline
- A good degree, preferably in human resource or business related field.

Required Competencies and Capabilities (Skills, Experiences and Professional Licences)
- At least 10 years of relevant HR working experience. Experience in the healthcare sector, while not a pre-requisite, will be an added advantage.
- Proven people management experience.
- Good knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast changing environment.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, MS Powerpoint tools for data analysis, building charts, etc.
- Good numerical sense, meticulous and a strong problem-solver.
