Volunteer Engagement Executive

**Primary duties**:
- Volunteer recruitment, coordination and outreach (includes interviewing and screening)
- Creating, maintaining and updating the volunteer database
- Developing and managing policies, procedures and standards for volunteers
- Matching the skills, experiences and expectations of volunteers to available positions
- Work hand in hand with the Eldercare and AMS Teams to roster and organise volunteers for Eldercare/Outreach activities
- Ensure volunteers are informed of volunteering opportunities in a timely fashion
- Planning for volunteer recognition, retention and replacement
- Handle all volunteer management related administrative work
Secondary:
- Providing support for the Organisation's major events and functions (eg. Anniversary dinner, Flag day and Befriending programme) organised by the Charity.
- Support the team and Executive Director where necessary.
Technical Competencies:
- Possess a good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin
- Willing and able to work extra time on some nights and weekends for events.
- Strong in paperwork and able to plan ahead
- Adequate understanding of VWO settings
Core Competencies:
- Meticulous and detailed working style
- Positive and adaptive personality
- Able to multi-task; and work independently as well as in a team
- Possess passion and empathy for non-profit work
Preferred achievements / characteristics:
- Diploma or degree in any discipline
- Experience with volunteer management preferred
