The Senior Investment Product Specialist (IPS) is part of the Asset Class Services (ACS) team within Capital Group’s (CG) Europe and Asia business. IPS partners with the team of Investment Directors (ID) to deliver deep expertise on CG’s investment strategies both internally and externally. Collectively they are the voice of CG’s investment strategies. The IPS and ID teams are two sides of the same coin: the ID is focused on being the external voice; and the IPS is focused on internal partners and stakeholders. The IPS also plays an important role in thinking strategically about the growth and evolution of their product coverage, partnering closely with Client and Marketing teams to unlock additional growth opportunities.

The Senior IPS will take a lead role in representing a range of fixed income investment teams and products. The individual will need to be able to quickly develop a deep understanding of Capital Group’s fixed income range, investment approach, and an ability to synthesise information to enable CG associates to speak credibly to its strengths. In addition, they will partner with the ID team to generate investment insights for our Client and Marketing teams.

**Primary responsibilities**
- Partners with the fixed income ID and investment teams to develop a deep understanding of investment ideas, strategy and positioning
- Acts as the lead expert for their area of product/strategy coverage, primarily for internal business partners and selectively for external stakeholders as required, including a close partnership with Sales teams to respond to client requests and queries
- Develops key messages to appropriately position and differentiate Capital Group’s fixed income capabilities and solutions, adapting for regional and/or investor segment considerations
- Advocates for the fixed income offering, working with Investment Specialists, Sales, Marketing and other business partners to establish agreement on sales strategy, marketing approach and client requirements
- Contributes to the analysis of market trends and competitive dynamics to understand investor requirements and how it impacts Capital Group’s fixed income offerings
- Contributes to the overall strategy of Capital Group’s fixed income business, including new product strategy efforts
- Builds positive working relationships with key internal stakeholders across Capital Group’s Europe, Asia and North American business through understanding their issues and showing them the benefits of partnering as a team

- You have a robust understanding of fixed income markets and a wide range of fixed income strategies
- You demonstrate strong communication skills to engage with a variety of internal and external audiences, with experience in distilling complex concepts into simple language and in providing investment insights
- You have experience in interacting with and extracting information from fixed income portfolio management tools and platforms, including front-office systems as well as market tools such as Bloomberg
- You demonstrate intellectual curiosity, analytical and problem-solving skills
- You are organised and detail-orientated, committed to delivering accurate investment insights and content in a responsive and timely manner
- You are highly collaborative and are comfortable partnering with multiple teams across timezones to deliver outcomes
