**Summary**:
Reporting to the Bunker Control & Claims Manager, the Bunker Control Expert plays an integral part in the organisation where the incumbent ensures the quantity of fuel purchased for owned & chartered is done fully under ISO 13739/22192 (SS648) specifications.

In addition, the incumbent ensures that the quantity delivered is compliant with the order placed and in accordance with our procedures to minimise any operational impact for the group (e.g. due to non-conformity (quantity defect) or linked to the bunkering operation (demurrage)).

Main Responsibilities
- Verify all owned and chartered vessels for correct fuel management onboard
- Manage all bunker quantity claims arising from any defect and notifying & negotiating with fuel oil suppliers to recover the amount in dispute
- Check all quantity reports pertaining the deliveries to the whole fleet
- Act as the operational link between Suppliers, Vessel’s command, Expert Energies operators’ team, Agents, laboratory / Surveyors and the Chartering team
- Manage all Quantity claims, and file all analysis reports (for owned and chartered ships) in Shiptech and ClickView
- Propose improvements to increase the level of expertise in the department
- Participate in the development of internal expertise for alternative and renewable fuels - Biofuels/ LNG/ Methanol/etc.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Tertiary education (minimum Diploma and above) in Marine Engineering, and ideally worked/currently working onboard the vessel OR possess at least 5 years of bunker surveyor experience
- A team player, this individual is comfortable working independently
- Fluent in English language as you will be interacting with people of diverse cultures and nationalities
- MS Office proficiency
