**Role Summary**:
The **Chief Administration Officer (CAO)** is responsible for the ongoing development of the Northern Trust’s business strategy/business planning, product development and the company’s ongoing operations with a focus on process control, framework development as well as outsourcing and conduct regime oversight for Singapore branch.
This role will see you exercises strategic budget and administrative control over planning and project management, provide oversight control and support to Country Executive of Southeast Asia region, including regulatory, conduct, compliance and risk management at first line of defense.
This role reports to the Country Executive, Singapore.
**What you will do**:
- Recommends the setting and execution of the Company’s business strategy/projects, including product development within Southeast Asia region.
- Develops strategies and tactics around revenue growth and facilitating the engagement of new clients in new or developing market segments. This includes conducting feasibility studies as well as research/plan for new geographical or product expansion.
- Executes Singapore based initiatives that require coordination across multiple business units and/or multiple jurisdictions (including globally), including change projects and new market-entry implementations.
- Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
- Leads new product business plans designed to expand the Company’s service offering targeted for clients and market segments within a country.
- Participates in developing division strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit; follows through to ensure that objectives are met.
- Leads strategic initiatives and activities, including participating and coordinating local due diligence activity with business leaders, and carrying out the complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues.
- Prepares and coordinates reporting and minutes for Singapore Management Committees, and Singapore Business Planning days, including design of agenda. This includes providing updates to the Senior Management team whenever meetings are scheduled and such information is normally reviewed, on operating performance, material outsourcing arrangements, significant issues, and strategic planning.
- Control and Regulatory Oversight (e.g. outsourcing, operational resiliency, cross border, Individual Accountability and Conduct Regime) and its implementation of changes and business as usual processes.
- Represents Northern Trust in relationships within industry organizations (e.g. ABS), key competitors and other outside parties. May also represent Company with major clients.
**About You**:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, with strong project management skill
- Strong track record of successful execution of projects and businesses.
- Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with in-depth functional / industry knowledge.
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
- Leadership and organizational skills required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff
- A University degree and relevant proven work experience.
