Operations Director, Facilities Management (Cleaning)

We're looking for an Operations Director with a proven history of delivering revenue and profit in the facilities management or cleaning industry. This role demands a sharp focus on cost optimization, maximizing contract value, and driving substantial bottom-line growth. A commitment to shared success, potentially through equity participation, is anticipated for this pivotal leadership role.

**Responsibilities**:

- P&L Accountability: Directly accountable for the financial performance of the operations department.
- Revenue & Cost Management: Lead daily operations with an emphasis on revenue generation and aggressive cost efficiency.
- Strategic Financial Execution: Translate financial objectives into actionable operational plans that boost revenue and expand profit margins.
- Profit-Centric KPIs: Define, track, and optimize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) directly tied to financial outcomes.
- Client Profitability: Manage client relationships and contracts to maximize service delivery value and identify revenue opportunities.
- Budget Optimization: Develop and manage budget strategies to minimize operational expenditure while maintaining service quality, enhancing net profit.
- Technology for Profit: Identify and implement technological advancements that increase revenue and profitability.
- Team Performance & Financial Results: Develop operations teams, implementing performance management and training programs that directly contribute to increased productivity and measurable financial results.
- Cross-Functional Profit Drive: Collaborate with other departments to optimize business functions and contribute to overall company profitability.
- New Project Profitability: Provide detailed budget and cost planning for new projects, prioritizing return on investment and profitability.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years in the cleaning, facility management, or building maintenance industry, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial capacity that included direct P&L responsibility.
- Demonstrated success in revenue growth and cost reduction initiatives, with the ability to articulate specific financial gains from past operational improvements.
- Strong business acumen: Deep understanding of financial levers within operations and their impact on the bottom line.
- Results-oriented leadership: Proven ability to drive teams to achieve ambitious financial goals.
- Data-driven decision-making: Proficient in leveraging financial and operational data for profit enhancement.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: Proactive in identifying new revenue streams, optimizing existing ones, and consistently exceeding financial targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
