As a Controls / Instrument Engineer, you’re responsible for
- Leading & maintaining the current systems and equipment through analysis, troubleshooting and improvement with requirement configured batch recipes and phases perform as intended
- Acting as the single point of contact for any projects or modifications in involving Basic process control system (BPCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) or batch programming.
- Providing front line support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to quickly identify and resolve any related control system problems.
- Creating and maintaining Cause and Effect (C&E) matrices which depict the basic process control (BPCS) interlock logic and update when required. Adjusting phase logic as required for the optimization of the process chemistry
- Leading the sites alarm management effort, analyzing data, reporting KPI’s and actively working to reduce ineffective alarms to the operator.
- Ensuring the sites compliance with the required operating standards such as alarm management (ISA18.2), Safety Instrumented Systems (IEC61511), Cybersecurity (IEC 62443)

To Be Successful in this role you will
- Have degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Control)
- Have more than 5 years of chemical plant process engineering & controls experience within a batch manufacturing environment and 3+ years in chemical production process experience
- Have experience of working with ABB 800xa Systems, Siemens PCS7 and knowledge of batch standard ISA88
- Have excellent company’s product portfolio and reaction chemistry, providing the ability to make independent decisions where necessary.
- Have industry knowledge of chemical plant best practices including recognized codes & standards, new equipment options, and safety/accident prevention
- Have knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), intimate knowledge of regulatory requirements such as IEC61511 and alarm management standards such as IEC62682/ISA18.2
- Have ability to lead and deliver small control system related capital projects on time and on budget with understanding of management of change processes.

Pay: $6,000.00 - $7,500.00 per month

**Education**:
