**About the Role**
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to be part of our Mechanical engineering team within our overall R&D/Engineering Department
- Define, develop, evaluate and verify designs to meet product requirement and cost targets by conducting Design Reviews and ensure proper objectives are established for the Project by utilizing continuous improvement development.
- Participate in generation of intellectual property (IP) ideas. Recognize and document new technology and submit for possible Patent Application. Complete documentation and reports for testing and regulatory submissions.
- Develop drawings, design parts, specify components, route systems (electromechanical) and create assemblies utilizing 3D CAD, appropriate Engineering Standards, and ISO Standards, etc
- Maintain effective Engineering change control by preparing and processing appropriate Engineering Release Letters, release drawings and supporting technical information into Bills of Material using appropriate software such as Solid Works, etc.
- Maintain accurate and complete project records; document progress in detailed reports which indicate audit, verification, and validation of processes and designs
- Support manufacturing and quality assurance by resolving problems, determining root cause with effective documentation and countermeasure planning based on engineering disciplines
- Discuss, negotiate and resolve specification issues with manufacturing and Suppliers during Prototype development and pre-series production. Understand and accommodate manufacturing capabilities and limitations. Resolve all issues with effective countermeasures and follow-up documentation
- Participate on, or lead corrective action teams, as necessary to resolve product issues by performing root cause analysis and problem resolution related to assigned design responsibilities.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
- Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; and requesting special services.
- Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2-3 years working experience in the mechanical engineering field
- Strong knowledge of CAD modelling, drawings and machine design with experience in design analysis. Experience with SolidWorks is a must.
- Familiarity with standard engineering concepts, practices, and procedures with CNC machines and other manufacturing shop machinery is essential
- Knowledge of engineering standards in drawing practice, dimensioning and metrology tolerances, drawing symbols, welding practice, etc.
- Proficiency in engineering principles including but not limited to structural mechanics, dynamics, manufacturing process, machine design, electricity, and ergonomics
- Ability to co-ordinate with Engineers from other disciplines within the department to produce multidisciplinary design solutions
