As a Junior Sous Chef, you will oversee daily operations and master the art of classic English & European cuisine. Craft menu items that complement our lively atmosphere while ensuring top-quality execution and guest delight. Mentor your cooks, fostering a collaborative team that delivers exceptional guest experiences.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a designated kitchen section, ensuring top-notch menu execution of our English and European classics.
- Implement cost-control strategies to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu innovation to complement The Hidden Pipe’s atmosphere.
- Train and motivate commis cooks, fostering a collaborative and efficient environment.
- Maintain a well-organized and prepped kitchen for smooth workflow.
- Collaborate on stock management and liaise with suppliers to ensure efficient ordering of fresh ingredients.
- Prioritize food safety and hygiene, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
- Contribute to administrative tasks such as staff scheduling for smooth peak operations during live music nights.

**What We're Looking For**:

- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and experience in English and European cuisines
- Excellent knife skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Passion for food and a commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

**Work Environment**: Primarily within our establishment, with occasional travel to sister outlets to render assistance.

**Required Academic Qualifications & Experiences**:

- A minimum of 5 years experience in a related industry or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ideally within a pub or restaurant setting.
- Certificate in Culinary Arts (or similar qualification) preferred, but not mandatory.

Pay: $2,800.00 - $3,300.00 per month
