**SUMMARY**
- This position is responsible for supporting project teams and senior level Certification Engineers in the creation/maintenance of project specific certification plans and supporting documents for EASA/FAA/CAAS STC Projects within the Certification Department utilizing established processes.
- The Certification Engineer 1 will support in the creation/maintenance of certification plans and supporting documents based on EASA/FAA/CAAS regulatory requirements showing compliance to the applicable airworthiness standards.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Including the following with other duties as assigned:

- Performs assignments in accordance with established processes under supervision of senior level Certification Engineers.
- Assigned tasks include but are not limited to: Creation of project specific certification plans and relevant documents, maintenance/update of Certification Department processes and routing of relevant design data to EASA/FAA/CAAS Designees.
- Works under the direction of a senior level Certification Engineer, creates/maintains project specific certification plans and supporting documents based on defined requirements using approved processes and tools.
- Participates in project teams to understand the design development. Supports the documentation of design implementation.
- Actively supports Certification Department and project team goals and initiatives.
- Coordinates with other departments as necessary.
- Utilizes internal processes/standards per EASA/FAA/CAAS regulatory requirements.
- Domestic or international travel may be required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essentials duty under the direction of a senior level certification engineer to the established department standards and processes. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Qualified degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering field.
- 0-2 years’ experience in an Engineering or Aviation related field.
- Basic understanding of EASA/FAA/CAAS Part 21 requirements.
- Knowledge of basic aircraft STC process.
- Able to work in a team environment and accept required roles, responsibilities and accountability.
- Working knowledge of Window based computers.
- Accurately report time worked in time tracking system on a daily basis.
- Demonstrate continuous skill improvement.
