Manager to Senior Manager, Cruise Industry

**What the role is**
- Your role is to grow cruise tourism to promote cruises out of Singapore, realising Singapore’s vision to establish Singapore as a leading cruise hub. A core industry of Singapore tourism, Cruise has been growing at a strong pace, especially with the global resumption of cruises. The work we do to pursue business and grow the cruise industry is critical, fast-paced and dynamic. We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to be part of our team. Being the sector lead and champion for the cruise industry, there are many opportunities to be creative, initiate programmes that shape the industry and play a key role in transforming the landscape for Singapore.
**What you will be working on**
- To drive the growth of the cruise industry, your role will involve: 1. Analysing and synthesising data/ insights on cruise consumer trends and behaviour in Southeast Asia (SEA). 2. Identifying new opportunities and initiatives in growing demand for cruising out of Singapore. 3. Collaborating with industry stakeholders (including global cruise lines, travel trade, media) in conceptualising and executing marketing partnerships and campaigns to expand demand for cruising. 4. Engaging ASEAN governments at various meeting platforms to advance cruise developments (e.g. infrastructure, tourism attractions) to promote cruising in SEA. 5. Partnering local government agencies and regional counterparts on cruise-related areas at bilateral/ multilateral meetings. Key relationships: - External stakeholders such as cruise lines, travel trade, media, government agencies, etc. - Internal stakeholders within STB groups.
**What we are looking for**
- Stakeholder management and relationship-building skills in engaging public and industry stakeholders to drive cruise development in Singapore. - Excellent communication, written and analytical skills to identify and present new business and partnership opportunities. - Good business acumen and negotiation skills to obtain positive outcomes that are aligned with STB’s strategic goals. - Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and comfortable with figures and data analytics. - Good interpersonal and communication skills to manage relationships with stakeholders. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and resourceful to deliver desired outcomes. - At least 3-5 years of working experience, preferably in the areas of marketing and government/international relations. - Prior experience in stakeholder and grants management would be an advantage.
