Healthcare Assistant

The Healthcare Assistant (Operating Theatre) is responsible for providing support to the surgical team in meeting the needs of the patients. This includes preparing, cleaning and clearing of all basic and simple specialized medical equipment, as well as providing basic pre and postoperative patient care activities and services.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Prepare, clean, and clear all basic and simple specialized medical equipment in the operating theatre.
- Assist the surgical team with patient positioning and draping.
- Provide basic pre and postoperative patient care activities and services, such as taking vital signs, monitoring patients, and providing comfort and support.
- Transport patients to and from the operating theatre.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of the operating theatre.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operating Theatre Nurse.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Higher NITEC / NITEC / GCE N Level or equivalent qualification.
- WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare (Nursing) or relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Good physical fitness and stamina.
