DESIGNATION : Healthcare Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in carrying out various basic care activities for the resident such as:

- Oral hygiene
- Bathing and grooming
- Changing of bed linen and tidying beds and lockers
- Oral feeding
- Turning and positioning
- Transferring of Residents from bed to trolley/wheelchair
- Conduct daily exercises for the residents
- Gardening activity with staff and residents
- Answering of resident’s call-bell and gives assistance within the constraints of his / her responsibilities
- Serving of meals and drinks to the residents

Assist with general duties such as:

- Maintaining the cleanliness of the premises’ fixtures and fittings
- Ensure a clean and tidy environment by performing general cleaning duties
- To be able to perform laundry duties
- To perform basic maintenance of equipment and facility at the centre
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor/centre manager

Assists with general duties in the kitchen such as:

- Preparing breakfast
- Store room management and inventory control
- Ordering of sundry items in the absence of the supervisor
- Ordering of kitchen food items according to food menu in the absence of the cook
- Clear all cutleries, tables and linens after every meal
- Perform as kitchen helper in the absence of kitchen helper

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum GCE ‘N’ Levels preferably with ITE Skills Certificates in Health Sciences (In-patient) or WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care)
- IT Savvy
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to perform shift work
- Pleasant disposition and personality

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum GCE ‘N’ Levels preferably with ITE Skills Certificates in Health Sciences (In-patient) or WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care)
