Psychologist, Counselling and Student Welfare

**What the role is**
- As a Psychologist, Counselling and Student Welfare in the Student Development Curriculum Division, you will provide direct services to students with socio-emotional and mental health issues. You will work with schools and facilitate collaborations and integration of services to promote care for the students. You will also be working on inter-agency projects with relevant community partners to promote student well-being.
**What you will be working on**
- Shape desired educational outcomes and support projects/ programmes with knowledge and expertise in the areas of specialisation
- Translate relevant research and clinical practice into accessible information for decision-making on policy, programmes and educational practice, with awareness of MOE’s context and needs
- Design and construct research and/ or evaluation to create contextually-attuned knowledge that improves educational policy, programmes and practice
- Propose alternative solutions to issues with analyses, patterns/ trends recognition and evaluation of implications on various stakeholders
- Build a learning culture and create a climate of inquiry and continuous improvement through reflective evidence-based practices, role modelling continuous learning, sharing of professional knowledge and best practices, as well as encouraging a sense of ownership over professional development within the team
**What we are looking for**
- Trained in Counselling, Clinical or Applied Psychology or any other related fields of psychology
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience working with children and youths
- Strong communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as provide responsive advice in areas of expertise
- Ability to work well independently and in teams
- Passion and disposition to work with students, school personnel and diverse profile of stakeholders
