**Role Description**:
We are looking for a dependable Logistics Operation Manager who will be in charge of the overall supply chain management. The Logistics Operation Manager is responsible for organizing and monitoring the storage and distribution of goods.
**Specific Responsibilities**:
1. The Trainee will be able to ensure that all completed orders are dispatched on time and to accept responsibility for labeling accuracy to ensure that correct parts/finished assemblies reach the correct customers on time. Ability to support new business initiatives and projects, as well as contribute to review meetings and the change process, as well as ensuring effective logistics implementation in relation to the changes.
2. The Trainee will be able to recognize any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in sync. Keep track of slow-moving and obsolete stock. Recognize cost savings by eliminating waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process.
3. The Trainee will be able to conduct or review environmental audits for logistics activities to ensure processes are as environmentally friendly as possible and to review opportunities to be more environmentally friendly. 4. Trainee will work with the Director to learn and practice writing a good operation management report, forecasting, budgeting, and providing effective and timely operation and sales updates to management. 5. Trainee will collaborate with the internal team and clients to ensure that services are delivered on time and to the client's specifications, as well as to report and resolve any issues that arise.
6. Trainee will be able to prepare annual budget reports and also able to do forecasting, improve operational management systems, implement processes and best pratices
7. Trainee will be able to ensure all completed orders are dispatched on time to take responsibility for accuracy. Competencies:
1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all parties involved in the logistics process. Ensure products are shipped properly to ensure product quality during transportation.
2. Learn about stock/inventory management. Determine and correct any inventory discrepancies. Ensure that the IT systems in place are effective, up to date, and accurate.
3. Compliance with regulations, laws, and health and safety standards.
4. To learn more about professional report writing abilities
5. Learn about operation management skills, key operation requirements, and managing and delivering services on time.
6. Budget & Operational procedures and policies Development
7. Ensure appropriate shipping to ensure quality of goods during transportation
4. Duration of Traineeships: 6 months
5. Approved Training Allowance: Mature Mid-Career Individuals - $3400
6. Education Qualifications Required for the Traineeship Role Under SGUnited Traineeship:
Mid-career individuals from any qualification level can apply.
