**Design Engineer**

**Permanent Position**
- Working hours**: Mon - Fri 8 am - 6 pm and Alternate Sat 8 am - 4 pm
- Working location: Singapore
- Project transport picks up at Bukit Batok MRT every morning at 7.35 am.
- Up to SGD 6k monthly

**About the Role**

As the Design Engineer, you will be involved in the development and management of all project drawings and take an active role in the preparation and successful execution of the project in accordance with design management procedures to solve various design and construction issues.

**The Job Scope**
- Experience in coordinating with architectural, E&M and construction consultants and teams to prepare and execute projects.
- Carry out design checks in accordance with the appropriate requirements of the project when needed.
- Develop shop drawings based on the consultant’s design and drawings.
- Direct and supervise CAD draftspersons as required in the performance of these roles and responsibilities.
- Manage documentation/drawings of the project, such as keeping track of submission drawings, DAR submissions and design changes.
- Ensure the use of the latest documents/drawings. Keep track of submission drawings, DAR submissions and design changes.
- Identify safety and environmental hazards that may arise during the fabrication, installation, and use of temporary works.
- Any other duties as may be required by the Company.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of design engineering experience in civil construction projects is a must.
- Relevant experience in the construction industry with significant exposure to design, preferable with LTA MRT project (station construction).
- Technically sound and demonstrated capability in the development of innovative concepts for solutions to technical, complex issues.
- Competent understanding of Singapore and International codes and standards, LTA CDC and PUB COP and manage submission to authorities.
- Strong oral and written presentation ability.
- An independent team player with strong leadership.
- Competent in the use of MS Office, and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of engineering software e.g. Staad Pro, Plaxis.
- Strong commitment to safety and risk management.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $4,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
