[What the role is]

The Grants division is embarking on an exciting data transformation journey to enhance its operational efficiency and drive impactful change. We are looking for a dynamic and driven intern to join our Grants Data team and contribute to our data transformative initiatives. The intern will collaborate with diverse teams within the Grants Division to co-create a unified data vision and objectives, and actively participate in the development of an implementation plan. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to real change within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

[What you will be working on]

**Data Transformation for the Grants Division**

**Project Description**:
The intern will be required to:

- Co-ordinate workshops/meetings with external consultants to brainstorm and co-create a common data vision and objectives for Grants Division.
- Assist in mapping existing manual processes and documenting them in preparation for digitization.
- Liaise with the different teams to consolidate any information required from the external consultants.
- Support the evaluation of any digital tools (e.g. RPA/Python) to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in data entry, cleaning, and organisation to prepare for digital storage and analysis.
- Support any external meetings with our partner agencies.
- Support the Data Team in other data-related tasks if the need arises.

Key project deliverables* include, but is not limited to:

- Concept Paper on the data vision for Grant Division.
- Comprehensive Data implementation plan outlining the steps and timeline for data transformation.
- Recommendations Report for Digital tools, with potential impact analysis on operating efficiency.
- Data Analysis Report summarizing findings from data entry, cleaning, and organisation, along with insights for future analysis.
- Training materials for staff on the use of new digital tools and processes.

[What we are looking for]

**Requirements**:

- A self-starter who is passionate about data transformation.
- An independent worker with strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders and communicate effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially in excel and PowerPoint.
- Possess some coding experience (e.g. RPA/Python).
- Possess an ability to think out of the box for new ideas and is enthusiastic about implementing them.
- Available for a minimum of 10 weeks.
- Preferred profile of Interns: Year 3 or final year student in Computer Science, Information Technology or Data Science.

- Experience a spectrum of data-related tasks working in the Grants Data team.
- Be exposed to working with external consultants in an organisation-wide data consultancy project.
- Gain experience working in the public service and non-profit sector.
