About the Pandemic Preparedness Research Coordinating Office (PPRCO)
The Pandemic Preparedness Research Coordinating Office (PPRCO) is a public health unit under the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) that serves as a national coordination platform for pandemic research. This unit provides effective administration and coordination to facilitate the implementation of the national pandemic preparedness research strategy, across several key healthcare, research, and public health institutions in Singapore. This is mainly done through working with the PREPARE Programme Office on its implementation of PREPARE’s strategy.

About PREPARE Programme Office
The Programme for Research in Epidemic Preparedness And REsponse (PREPARE) is a national epidemic preparedness R&D programme under the oversight of MOH. PREPARE’s objective is to support and strengthen essential research capabilities, translational platforms, and expertise that could be harnessed to detect, prevent and contain future infectious disease threats. Five co-operative research programmes (‘Co-Ops’) are established under PREPARE:
Analytics, Disease & Behaviour Modelling;
Environmental Transmission & Mitigation;
Diagnostics;
Vaccines & Therapeutics; &
Regional Networks.

PREPARE is also building and supporting long-term capabilities (‘Cores’), namely (i) Databases, and (ii) Biorepository.

The PREPARE Programme Office (PO), hosted under NCID, serves as a national coordination platform for PREPARE, that provides effective administration and coordination to facilitate the implementation of the national epidemic preparedness R&D strategy, across several key healthcare, research, and public health institutions in Singapore and the region. The PREPARE Programme Office works closely with the Pandemic Preparedness Research Coordinating Office (PPRCO) at NCID in achieving PREPARE’s objectives.

Job Summary
The Executive / Senior Executive will be providing administrative support in project management and stakeholder coordination. The Executive / Senior Executive will also play a significant role in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the national epidemic R&D strategy and workplan.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SPECIFIC

**The Executive / Senior Executive will**:
Support in the planning and implementation of the PPRCO’s and PREPARE PO’s workplan;
Assist in the coordination of the relevant parties to accomplish the required research activities under PREPARE. These include research collaborators, funding agencies, regulators, academia, and biomedical industry partners, from local as well as overseas institutions and agencies;
Support research workgroups in ensuring smooth exchanges of information - sharing across the networks, internally and externally;
Provide secretariat support to meetings and events, including coordinating between multiple parties, preparing and clearing meeting agenda and presentation materials, taking/vetting minutes, and others;
Provide administrative support in the smooth administering of commissioned studies and pandemic/epidemic research grant processes under PPRCO and PREPARE;
Undertake administrative duties such as the processing of invoice payments, claims, procurement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in public health, microbiology, epidemiology, biostatistics, biological, biomedical or chemical sciences, or a related discipline.

EXPERIENCE
2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a research, healthcare or public health-related environment
At least 1 year of demonstrated experience managing and executing projects independently
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong experience in secretariat support
Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid working environment, with an ability to engage effectively with all levels of seniority
Experience in handling research budgets
Meticulous, detail-oriented and responsible
Independent, organized and self-driven;
Excellent interpersonal skills, pleasant personality with positive working and learning attitude.
