WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
The Senior Manager / Director, Client Communication will work closely with Director and Vice President, Client Communication to fulfill the goal of promoting communication excellence at Bain. This role will implement the communication training strategy through in-person and virtual training, and 1-1 coaching of Bain consulting, expert client delivery, and business function leadership. This role will primarily serve the Asia Pacific region.
In addition, they will deliver communication training and coaching to Bain’s client teams and senior executives, as part of Bain Academy. This role also serves as liaison to the regional external communication coach community, finding and maintaining resources to serve Global Training programs, internal and client coaching requests.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will deliver communication skills training and coaching to Bain individuals and groups; serve as expert resource and advisor for Bain internally
- Lead Global Training modules: ECT/LDT, SACT as needed
- Coach Bain leadership through in-office and virtual 1-1 sessions, with a regional focus on APAC
- Support the APAC Regional Leadership Team meeting by preparing General Session presenters and MCs
- Train regional Bain Business Function leadership teams in communication topics
You will train and coach regional clients as part of Bain Academy team
- With Client Communication team, respond to Bain Academy and Partner requests to develop and/or deliver communication training to client teams and senior executives
- Leverage outside expert trainers or train personally as appropriate
You will contribute to curriculum updates of global and in-office programs, and eLearning modules for Springboard, Bain’s digital learning platform
- Work in collaboration with Director Client Communication, Professional Development and Global Training team members, with focus on AC and SAC programs
- Develop supplemental eLearning modules in communication skills in partnership with Digital learning
you will support growth and rigor of Client Communication
- Promote CC services in APAC region
- Build regional network of external trainers: seek and onboard new resources, ensure ongoing skill level of current team
- Advise and help Implement long-term projects, such as rollout of training on virtual/hybrid communication, training of Bain consulting experts and other expert populations, localized external coaching support for Sr Managers, etc
- Advise team on areas of demand and potential new technology and training innovation trends
QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or advanced degree in related field such as education preferred
- 10+ years business experience required
- 5+ years coaching of individuals in professional services firms or roles required
- Additional teaching experience at university or graduate level in business or other field a significant advantage
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders (including C-suite) without having a formal reporting relationship
- Effective global networker, able to work collaboratively and with cultural sensitivity with people from around the world
- High level of integrity to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Role model in Bain Operating Principles
- Defines culture and morale within training team and office
- Willing to travel (up to 25%)
- Self-starter, able to work independently with limited direction
- Strong at working in an evolving environment; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and program needs
