The Investment Services Private Markets Department (ISPVM) is responsible for investment services for the private market across the GIC group. It is responsible for providing deal structuring and closing, portfolio monitoring, valuation, finance, operations, tax, data management and analytics services, in the execution of private market investments in Real Estate (RE), Private Equity, Private Credit and Infrastructure. It is involved in financial reporting and accounting of investment holding companies, as well as operations and financial due diligence for asset operations.
The size and complexity of the GIC RE business necessitates a highly efficient and scalable process and systems environment coupled with deep data and analytics capabilities. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to partner our GIC RE and Technology colleagues to continuously improve RE business processes through automation and digitalization.
**Responsibilities**:
- Working alongside technology partners to manage the user administration and ongoing business user management of RE systems
- Project manage and drive projects to improve process, data and system capabilities of RE
- Work with internal RE stakeholders via gathering of user stories, executing test scenarios, managing defects tracking and resolution, and maintaining specifications documentation, to improve the investment and asset management digital capabilities of the RE business
- Develop and maintain system and portfolio analytics dashboards for RE
- As a conduit between RE business and the Private Markets data solutions function, support the identification, design, collection and quality control of data that is critical for RE’s analytics needs
- Continuously strive to identify and implement opportunities to automate existing processes
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 5 years working experience and good academic qualifications in relevant fields
- Experience in business analysis and implementation of major projects in financial institutions
- Strong analytical and project management abilities with an eye for detail and ability to conceptualize ideas and execute to agreed timelines
- Experience in process evaluation and re-engineering and ability to problem solve and think out-of-the-box
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically in Excel and PowerPoint) and SQL.
- Experience interacting with and analyzing large data sets and exposure or knowledge in programming or data visualization tools such as Python, R, Tableau or Power BI will be an advantage
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas and engage stakeholders across different domains
- Inquisitive self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
