We are hiring a **Junior Sous Chef **to deliver day-to-day duties and responsibilities for Bizlink Café:

- Leads kitchen team in chef's absence
- Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
- Oversees and organises kitchen stock and ingredients
- Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
- Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
- Trains new kitchen employees and people with special needs in basic F&B skills
- Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimises waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns
- Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
- Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities
- Verifies that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
- Assists head chef with menu creation
- Ensures the kitchen activities operate in a timely manner
- Monitors and records inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies
- Creates schedule for kitchen staff

Qualifications:
1) Certificate in Culinary skills, or its equivalent.

2) Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience in culinary.

3) Knowledge in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

4) Excellent organisational and management skills.

5) Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, and positive attitude towards fostering teamwork among associates in support role.

6) Ability to lead, motivate a team of staff, adapt, embrace strong cultural diversity, and work with persons with disabilities (PWDs).
