**Direct Search Global is working with an international Marine & Offshore supplier to fill a role of Head of Procurement to be based in their Singapore office.**

**Job Descriptions**:

- Procurement Strategy Development & Implementation:

- Develop and execute procurement policies, procedures, and strategies that are aligned with the company’s goals.
- Determine cost-saving chances and formulate strategies to optimize procurement process.
- Supplier Management and Relationship Establishment:

- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on criteria such as quality, pricing, reliability, and sustainability.
- Establish strong relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements.
- Procurement Operations Management:

- Oversee end-to-end procurement process, from start to finish, and ensure timely and efficient procurement of goods and services.
- Monitor inventory level, forecast sales demand, and manage inventory risks.
- Improve procurement processess and systems continuously to ensure high productivity and efficiency in delivery.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as finance, operations, sales, customer service, IT, QHSE and value proposition to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with them to understand their procurement needs and provide advice and support.
- Risk Management and Compliance:

- Determine and manage procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or regulations compliance.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with the latest relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Ensure smooth annual vendor audits.
- Team Leadership and Development:

- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the procurement team.
- Set performance objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and provide regular feedback.
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, transparency and accountability within the procurement team.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration or relevant discipline.
- Master’s Degree in relevant discipline is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in procurement, with 3 years in managerial role.
- Prior experience in maritime industry is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skill and negotiation skill.
- Able to identify and solve problems as well as manage suppliers.
