Head of Business Finance

Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience - 15 years of experience in strategy consulting, finance, or similar commercial analytical role - 6 years of experience in people management and working with business stakeholders Preferred qualifications: - Experience in Asia Pacific and/or emerging markets - Experience in Internet, Media, and Technology industries - Experience leading and developing a team with a focus on performance, coaching, mentoring, and collaboration - Experience with stakeholder management and in influencing executive business leaders - Quantitative and analytical mindset with distinctive operational and business judgment, attention to detail, and outstanding verbal and written communication skills - Ability to speak and write in English fluently in order to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders **About the job**: Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. You are both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial experts. You'll keep management informed on key financial metrics and work to improve financial operation practices throughout your region. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. **Responsibilities**: - Lead an organization that focuses on providing cross-functional executive management teams with thought partnership, including clear and concise insights into drivers of business performance, market trends, risks and opportunities, and recommendations leading to business enhancing actions. - Advise executives on business decisions. Balance the roles of trusted advisor and guardian to reveal opportunity, manage risk, and optimize investment while empowering the regional teams to capture the fast-paced, dynamic opportunities in the market. - Support critical planning processes such as business generation forecasting, goal setting, and business performance evaluation. - Identify new business opportunities and develop new business cases in partnership with cross-functional teams to support investments in the region. - Coach and mentor a talented team of Finance professionals to support their performance and career growth.
