
Assistant / Revenue Manager

**JOB PURPOSE**:
Assist the Director of Revenue Management in achieving the objective of maximizing overall hotel revenue through effective inventory control, statistical analysis and pricing/segmentation strategies based on future demand forecasts, BI tools and historical data. Responsible for keeping reports up-to-date and analysing these reports to identify trends as well as performing studies to stay ahead of competitive set and the market.
**PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
**1. **Support and understand hotels’ selling strategy for maximizing hotel occupancy, revenue and RevPAR, also ensuring contribution to bottomline GOP.
**2. **Support the Director of Revenue Management by coordinating all Revenue Management tasks, tools and processes for the hotels. Work with Sales and Marcom to incorporate Sales & Marketing plans too.
**3. **Review and deep dive into business insights, plans and strategies so proactive measures can be taken to meet or exceed targets for both rooms, F&B and ancillary revenue.
**4. **Analyse data and communicate market demand and hotel trends to internal stakeholders.
**5. **Assist in monitoring transient and group business along with Reservations Sales Manager within short to mid-term period, then developing and recommend pricing, forecasting and reporting on the hotels’ daily, weekly, monthly and yearly performance, or as and when required.
**6. **Perform competitive benchmark studies and be knowledgeable of market trends. Present strategies to help the hotel stay ahead of the competition.
**7. **Retrieve data from multiple sources including but not limited to PMS, GDS, RMS, CRS, BI and extranets to create integrated views that can be used to drive revenue management decisions.
**8. **Generate and keep reports up-to-date to identify any buying pattern or special events that would improve revenue opportunities and profitable segmentation.
**9. **Train and coach operation teams to develop revenue management mindset and understand commercial objectives.
**10. **Respond in a timely fashion to requests from all stakeholders.
**11. **Evaluate the performance of all distribution partners and negotiated rates.
**12. **Assist in rate loading and configuration activities, case logging and any further tasks delegated.
**13. **Gain knowledge in fields of digital marketing and distribution in order to assist the Distribution Manager in this aspect whenever required.
**14. **Perform regular audits to ensure Brand content and 3rd party websites are up to date and relevant.
