**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to join the Antibody Discovery team. The job function includes immunoassay and cell biology work and will provide important contributions to a fast-paced team with a cutting-edge technology platform.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Design, plan and execute strategies and immunoassays for screening, validating and characterizing antibodies particularly using Flow cytometry, FACS and also ELISA
- Responsible for maintaining cell cultures under aseptic conditions for assay validation and antibody screening workflows
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date records of all laboratory work and experiments in electronic files
- Compilation of protocols, experimental results and analysis of data in a timely manner
- Contribute to the overall safety, operations and organization of the laboratory
- Active participation in team meetings and presentations as required

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**
- BSc or MSc in Biology or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in immunoassays and cell culture research laboratory
- Good experience in immunoassay-based screening using Flow-cytometry, FACS and ELISA is required with emphasis on Flow-cytometry and FACS techniques
- Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques including but not limited to cell-based antibody screening
- Fast learner with an ability to work independently and as a team in a dynamic environment.
- Disciplined and well-organized with a positive attitude and the desire to learn and explore new techniques or areas
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and GraphPad Prism

**DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous participation in the discovery and development of an antibody (or other biologics) is highly desirable
- Experience with Biacore and/or Octet for antibody affinity determination is advantageous
- Experience in molecular biology assays (eg. cloning, PCR)
- Industry experience will be a plus
