**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Join Hummingbird Bioscience on our journey as we transition from an early-stage drug discovery company, to a global leader in drug development. We are looking for an experienced Research Associate / Senior Research Associate, Antibody Production (Downstream)

**RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO)**
- Execute routine purifications at various scales for standard IgG and IgG-like molecules, to reach targeted quality profile
- Conduct filter sizing studies at viral filtration and UFDF steps, conduct the scale-up operations at 50 L and 250 L scales
- Support and execute platform technology advancement, expanding research tools for tackle challenge molecules.
- Perform pilot scale processing using AKTA pilot, depth filtration using Millistak pod, viral filtration using Vpro Magnus device, ultrafiltration/diafiltration using AKTA Flux 6.
- Record data timely, accurately and legibly
- Support protein characterization studies using tools such as A280 protein concentration measurement, ELISA, silver stain, qPCR, protein kinetics study, LAL test and HPLC
- Author protocol, study reports and documents for technical transfer and regulatory filings
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and perform under pressure

**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor of Science with 3-year relevant experience
- Master of Science with 1-year relevant experience
- Strong understanding on monoclonal antibody and bispecific antibodies
- Strong understanding in differences between RnD and manufacturing
- Strong understanding of IgG therapeutic development from sequence to process development and biologics manufacturing process from vial thaw to drug product fill and finish
