Responsible for the EH&S function on site, working closely with the site Management team,, regional and corporate offices to ensure EH&S standards are met

Coordinate all local EH&S programs and regional assignments

Assess EH&S trends and conditions, reporting on EH&S performance, and to consult and advise senior management of recommendations for improvement, including appropriate prevention and control strategies.

Develop and manage incident investigation, inspection and audit programs; identify root causes of deficiencies and provide advice to Management team in the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.

Work with management team to:

- Develop and implement company EH&S plans, policies, management system and programs, using guidance from Corporate EH&S policies
- Review current and proposed legislation while providing advice to management committee to integrate such legislation into operations and ensuring compliance to such
- Actively engage site stakeholders in implementation of EH&S programs through providing support on communication, training, assessment and control of hazards and risks.
- Review and assist in activities related to planning, design and modifications of materials, processes, operations or building layouts

Evaluate assessments performed and control measures proposed or implemented to ensure that recommendations are appropriate.

Any other duties that may be assigned with respect to EH&S related issues

Lead an EH&S Engineer in running the EH&S imperatives on site
