Position Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance to Corporate EHS Policy, implement actions to drive compliance and improvements to maintain Environment, Health and safety management system.
- Review any statutory updates, identify relevant EHS requirements, prepare procedures towards achieving compliance to the new statutory requirement(s).
- Lead and facilitate compliance, EHS and sustainability internal/external audits/surveys.
- Organize and lead regular EHS inspection, meetings and monitoring of corrective/ preventive actions.
- Develop procedures, programs to maintain compliance.
- Review new processes and lead risk assessments relevant to the new process
- Responsible for corporate EHS reporting requirements.
- Lead incident and accident investigation. Follow up on effectiveness of implemented actions.
- Plan EHS training programs to increase safety awareness especially in a chemical plant.
- Responsible to review Environmental test reports, implement actions to improve any out-of
- control conditions, and follow up on effectiveness.
- Plan and conduct emergency evacuation drills for the company premises.
- Responsible to drive emergency response and other necessary rescue protocols.
- Coordinate and work together with all departments, clients, and vendors/contractors to advise on all EHS related issues.
- Promote zero accident culture in the company to strive group’s EHS KPI targets.
- Work with operations team, vendors, contractors to inspect machines/equipment/processes for accident prevention program, conducts hazard identifications and risk assessment.
- Educate and train employees to ensure safety is paramount priority of the job. Guide on compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Owns the EHS management system and documentation. Management Representative (MR) for ISO14001.
- Submission/getting approval of EHS licensing/permits required for the factory.
