**Reinsurance Counsel**

**We will count on you to**:

- Serve as the primary contact with regulators on reinsurance issues
- Identify and review reinsurance regulations
- Implement and monitor relevant policies, procedures and controls
- Provide prompt regulatory advice and support to the reinsurance business
- Manage regulatory filings and notifications for the reinsurance business
- Manage and oversee regulatory examinations and inspections involving the reinsurance business
- Conduct investigations into legal, compliance and / or ethics issues for the reinsurance business
- Carry out duties as data privacy officer (where relevant) for the reinsurance business
- Promote a culture of integrity and compliance through regular communications and trainings
- Facilitate the reinsurance business’ risk management process, conduct risk assessments and maintain risk registers, and manage risk committees as relevant
- Identify potential reinsurance-related risk and compliance issues associated with new reinsurance products, services and jurisdictions and implement appropriate measures to address them
- Conduct periodic monitoring and compliance assessments for the reinsurance business
- Work with the reinsurance business and functional units to determine corrective actions for relevant issues
- Prepare risk and compliance reports for business leaders and senior members of the LCPA function
- Support M&A and other corporate activities pertaining to the reinsurance business
- Provide analysis and counsel on a range of legal issues related to the reinsurance business
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts for the reinsurance business
- Assist with the development of templates for the reinsurance business
- Engage and supervise outside counsel for reinsurance-related matters
- Manage effective Errors & Omissions (“E&Os”) prevention and mitigation strategies for reinsurance business
- Actively participate in appropriate executive, leadership, and / or operating committees
- Engage with senior reinsurance business leaders across Asia Pacific where appropriate

**What you should have**:

- Recognized legal qualification from, and admitted to practice in, a common law jurisdiction
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal & compliance role
- Experience in compliance and regulatory advisory work in (re)insurance or financial services sectors
- Prior experience handling contract reviews and management
