Associate Director

Join us as Associate Director - Investments-Linked & Pension Business Propositions at AIA Investment Management

We are seeking for an Associate Director to join our Group Investments-Linked & Pension Business (GULPB) to be responsible for Propositions. This is a regional position providing support to all AIA group of companies. Reporting to the Head of Propositions for GULPB, the incumbent will also be involved in strategy and business planning.

**Investment / Index Linked Product Propositions**
- Excite and activate our Local Business Units (LBUs) and distribution partners with customer-centric and financially sustainable propositions through ideas curated internally, from external fund managers, reinsurers and other markets.
- Supporting the development and continuous enhancement of investment / index linked product propositions through working closely with LBUs to co-develop propositions for different markets and distribution channels.
- Ensure delivery of products are in line with Group’s strategic directions and financial targets such as VoNB and OPAT.

**Strategy & Business Planning**:

- Work with relevant Group functions and Local Business Units (LBUs) to lead strategy formulation and initiatives related to growth plans, new markets entry, distribution strategy, new customer segment development and partnerships for the purpose of growing Investment / Index Linked and Pension business.
- Recommend and build business case on strategic initiatives, articulate and translate ideas into execution priorities, action plans and transformation programmes.
- Take a proactive role in identifying and assessing growth opportunities, new customer segments or product segments for the purpose of growing Investment / Index Linked and Pension business in the various LBUs.
- Communicate market insights by evaluating industry trends, conducting market research and benchmarking, analyzing the competitive landscape and the eventual impact to the business.
- Collaborate with LBUs for the purpose of putting up a Quarterly Business Review and Annual GULPB Business Strategy pack

**TDA and Service Proposition**
- Enhance customer experience and journey through TDA by developing and driving adoption by LBUs of digital tools for investment linked and pension offerings including front-end and back-end developments
- Primary driver for identifying opportunities for investment-linked operational enhancements and collaborating with Group Investment Services and Middle Office as well as LBUs to develop solutions
- Develop and own dashboard for investments-linked and pensions business which incorporates key information and metrics that assist in management reporting and decision making
- Develop and own GULPB portal and other digital assets

**Requirements**:

- University degree preferably in Business, Actuarial Science, Finance or Accountancy
- Highly numerate with 10-15 years of related experience in Financial Services
- Insurance product development experience preferred
- Experience in Fund Management and/or Wealth Management sectors a plus
- High intellectual curiosity and possess an insatiable curiosity to learn and a proactive approach to leaning in on new opportunities, even those outside their comfort zone
- Organizational savvy and able to build constructive and effective relationships and use them to manoeuvre through complex situations
- Appreciation of Wealth Management & Investment Linked Fund Propositions in key Asian Markets, including regulatory landscape
- Driven self-starter who is delivery focused and possess strong communication, influencing and presentation skills
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and networking skills
- Good project management skills and ability to lead large and complex projects across functions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
