- AstraZeneca is the fastest growing company in Oncology in Asia Area. AstraZeneca’s Oncology portfolio, which includes Haematology, will continue to power our double-digit growth aspiration in the next 3 years. We are also accelerating the expansion of our geographical footprint in rare diseases. Rare diseases is a high-growth therapy area with rapid innovation and significant unmet medical need. Over 7,000 rare diseases are known today - yet less than 1% of them have an approved treatment._
- We are implementing a new Go to Market model for Haematology-Oncology & Rare Disease that establishes a Center of Excellence (Launch Hub) to lead franchise strategy and assist in-country execution across the Southeast Asian (SEA) markets._
**What you’ll do**
- Reporting to the SEA Launch Hub Medical Head, you'_ll _enable in-country medical scientific liaisons/medical advisors to_ enga_ge medical/ scientific experts in in-depth medical/ scientific product or disease area discussions, and deliver presentations in a non-promotional scientific context as determined by global/regional Medical Affairs plans and in line with the Haematology-Oncology and Rare Disease brand strategy_. You'll also act as an educational resource to internal stakeholders, providing medical/ scientific knowledge, training, and support to internal stakeholders on AstraZeneca's marketed products and compounds in development. _In addition, you will input into the brand strategy and life-cycle management and take the lead in the design and implementation of medical activities aligned with the brand strategy across SEA._ _
**Essential for the role**
- Advanced scientific degree
- Thorough knowledge or experience of the pharmaceutical industry and the Medical Affairs function
- Ability to interact and manage a range of stakeholders both internally and externally
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical sales and marketing
- Strong project management experience
**Desirable for the role**
- Qualified doctor or PhD in scientific discipline
- Prior experience in Haematology-Oncology or Rare Disease
- Understanding of multiple aspects within Medical Affairs
- Extensive knowledge of the latest technical and regulatory developments
