Finance Controller, Southeast Asia

Job Title: Finance Controller, Southeast Asia Location: Singapore, Singapore Posting Date: Oct 9, 2025Overview The Controller will work as a business partner with the Country Manager, peers and subordinates to lead key initiatives that drive business growth and operation excellence, and develop long-term business strategy for AMETEK’s businesses in Southeast Asia, Australia and Taiwan. The Controller will have responsibility for administering AMETEK Southeast Asia/Taiwan/Australia Finance and accounting activities to meet the Corporation’s objectives for accurately reporting operating performance and the business units it supports, including compliance with government law and AMETEK’s policies and procedures. The role includes implementing new processes and systems to enhance the control environment. The Controller will also be responsible for Corporate, Tax, Legal and Treasury matters and coordinate with external auditors and corporate functions, participate in due diligence and be responsible for the integration of newly acquired entities. Responsibilities Directly report to Div VP-Asia Controller and functionally report to Southeast Asia Country Managers, providing overall financial leadership to the finance team in Southeast Asia Work closely with the Business Unit Controllers and support their financial reporting Maintain effective internal controls over the four entities to ensure asset protection, accurate financial reporting, tax filings, and compliance with SOX Support treasury and working capital management for the four entities Provide leadership and oversee statutory, tax and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting of actual results, with insightful analysis of business performance; own FP&A for Southeast Asia Control overhead costs and expenses Liaise with external auditors, banks and tax authorities; arrange audits and interface with audit staff; manage tax and treasury matters Develop the financial staff Support Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Australia country managers to meet growth strategies; prepare budgets, review budget proposals, and provide supporting documentation and justification Support the Country Manager in delivering strategic growth initiatives, including directing special studies and analyses of economic and financial implications of AMETEK business initiatives Support integration of new business units into the four entities, including financial reporting, business processes, ERP setup and support Drive improvements and efficiencies in commercial back-office processes to support business growth Promote AMETEK values and create an environment that supports compliance, performance, engagement and adaptability Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or related field; ACCA/CPA preferred 8–10 years of finance experience in manufacturing and regional commercial operations Familiarity with standard practices in a US company, especially internal control Strong strategic thinking, business acumen and interpersonal skills Strong leadership and communication skills Efficient self-organization skills to maintain high levels of multi-tasking Proven track record in finance leadership, preferably in a multisite, multi-BU environment Hands-on, compliance-focused, data-driven approach; aligned with AMETEK culture Ability to work in a complex, highly matrixed environment with remote policy guidance Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time Familiarity with sales and service and light manufacturing operations Experience with lean/kaizen methodologies is a plus AMETEK, Inc. is a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions.
