We are seeking for a hands-on Enterprise Architect, who will be part of the software and infrastructure team of Group Enterprise 5G/IOT product house, to design and implement the Singtel telco edge cloud and facilitate solution designs to onboard customer workloads. In this position you will work with the different development, business and product teams, to:
**Make an Impact by**
- Understand in depth, the security principles, resilience and high availability requirements of the Singtel telco edge cloud.
- Design solution architectures for customer apps/workloads and facilitate trial deployments of the 5G apps on the telco edge cloud
- Lead selection of technology components across the infrastructure stack of the telco edge cloud
- Design deployment of SAAS and PAAS workloads on the telco edge cloud
- Contribute technical and thought leadership to the SingTel’s 5G platform initiative, and how to leverage IoT and big data management, Security/privacy, AI/ML components into the platform architecture.
- Interact with implementation partners and customers to understand their needs, and feed this back to the development teams and roadmap.
- Participate in technical partnership conversations and due diligence.
- Participate and lead in technical evaluations of partner technology with a hands on approach.

**Skills for Success**
- Minimum 8 - 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience architecting, designing, and developing complex, enterprise grade, configurable, scalable private cloud infrastructure.
- A background in systems level thinking and design. Combined with the ability to translate technical strategy and architectures into concrete, mínimal viable products, with the right trade-offs and phasing.
- Exposure to software development would be an added advantage.
- Deep understanding of the architectural principles for cloud-based platforms that include SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, infrastructure as code, and continuous availability.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across various cross-functional teams and groups.

**Required Skills**:
HyperVisors : VMWare ESXi, OpenStack, KVM, Nutanix (any 2)

Switches and firewalls : Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper or similar

Servers : Rack mount servers, HCI, Blade servers

Networking : BGP, OSPF, VXLAN and L2/L3 networking concepts

Filesystems and storage : NFS or similar

Operating Systems : Windows Server, Linux

Containers and Orchestration : Kubernetes (basic hands on knowledge)

Best Practises : Security by design principles, High Availability and fault

resilience principles, Micro Segmentation.

Public Cloud : AWS, Azure (hands on experience)

Infrastructure as a code : Terraform, Ansible or similar

CI/CD systems : Jenkins, Bitbucket pipelines, Github or similar tools
