Sinch is looking to recruit a new Chief Accountant APAC to its Finance Team to be based in Singapore.

**The essence of the role**:
As our new Chief Accountant APAC you will lead and be overall responsible for the accounting, reporting, tax, and compliance of several legal entities in APAC.

**As our new Chief Accountant APAC you will**:

- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and reviewing month
- and year-end reporting
- Be accountable for the correctness and completeness of the accounting; legal and tax reporting; and fulfilment of all regulatory and internal requirements,
- Be responsible for coordinating the external audit of the legal entities
- Actively perform certain parts of the process, e.g., payment approval, or accounting postings (scope may differ per entity), reconciliations including inter-company
- Provide insights in performance gaps and areas for improvement
- Be responsible for preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly VAT returns and Social Charges reports
- Be responsible for preparation and submission of the annual report including minutes from annual general meeting and corporate income tax return
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principlesThe role is based in Singapore and will report to the Head of Global Accounting.

You are driven, ambitious and take own initiatives as well as being well-organized. You are used to working closely and communicating effectively with stakeholders in a fast-paced international environment. As Sinch is growing rapidly you are flexible and enjoy working in a climate of change where being pragmatic and solutions orientated is key.
- 10 + years work experience as an Accounting Manager, Financial Controller or similar role
- Proven experience of creating annual reports
- Understanding of business bookkeeping and closing procedures, and knowledge of accounting regulations
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP System
- Fluency in English speech and writing
