Roles & Responsibilities

The incumbent is responsible in assisting the Front Office Manager/ Director of Operations in the successful ownership and operational execution of the Concierge/ Bell Service team to provide an exceptional guest experience to our guests.

**Responsibilities**:

- To provide accurate information concerning hotel facilities, venues, functions, local attraction and handling guest inquiries.
- To ensure a “welcoming sense of arrival” and demonstrates a “sincere farewell” to all guests.
- To uphold and maintain the clean appearance of the lobby, driveway and the Concierge desk area to reflect a good image of the hotel & company.
- To be aware of all VIP arrivals and departures, especially corporate guests.
- Calls or assists VIP to ensure all their preferences of service are well noted, requests and needs are met.
- To be familiar with car parking and valet services as well as the charges.
- To ensure that the Hotel vehicle is in top working condition, keep track of relevant documentations such as car insurance, tax and other administrative matters.
- Able to provide information pertaining to all hotel services, local places of interests, restaurants, clinics, sightseeing tours and any other information likely to be of the interest to guests
- Manages and maintains good relationship with service providers such as Limousine Services, Valet Parking, and Tour Operators etc. to ensure the standards of the hotel and guest expectations are met and exceeded.
- To supervise and direct the Concierge/ Bell Service staff and activities. Responsible for the performance of the team in terms of guest satisfaction, manning and operations.
- Responsible in preparing efficient work schedules, planning holiday and vacations for staff; taking into considerations projected occupancy and forecast.
- To set a high example to colleagues in terms of punctuality, appearance, performance, attitude, leadership, guest relations, observance of the house rules, loyalty to the management and interdepartmental co-operation.
- Conduct the hand over between shifts, ensuring that all relevant staff are in attendance and that all pertinent information is passed accurately to the oncoming shift.
- To assist in maintaining and/or developing agreed operating procedures relating to Concierge/ Bell Service and to ensure that colleagues adhere to the correct procedures as laid down in the Standard Operating Procedures Manuals.
- Check to ensure there is sufficient stock of Concierge/ Bell Service supplies on a weekly basis. Conduct weekly inventory of supplies.
- To undertake any other reasonable assignment by the Director of Operations and Front Office Manager, as and when required.
**Requirements**:

- Minimum GCE O or N Level
- A minimum of 3-year experience working in a similar role in five-star hotel environment
- Good knowledge in OPERA (PMS) is essential.
