You’ll lead a cutting-edge technology venture dedicated to better enabling hydrogen project developers on their journey. You’ll create this solution in a nascent space that not only has high potential commercially, but has huge potential for positive impact on the world in which we live.

Rainmaking is excited to be co-investing in building high impact ventures with a FTSE 250 heavy engineering company. They are the lead investor and strategic partner in the venture and will bring their deep industry expertise to drive the success of our projects, coupled with our entrepreneurial expertise. Together, we are on a mission to accelerate the green hydrogen transition and the project viabilities within.

**How will I have an impact?**:

- As the digital Commercial Founder / CEO, you'll be responsible for taking the venture forward, bringing Rainmaking's validation work to life (all whilst critically evaluating and further validating it)
- You’ll deeply embed yourself in the green hydrogen space, creating a carbon intensity (CI) monitoring solution. As such, you’ll be enabling Project Developers to maximise project viability with ease
- Success would mean a highly successful linked hardware and software solution that is unrivalled in the hydrogen space, and one that will only gain increasing momentum as decarbonisation efforts accelerate. This is a one-time opportunity to be ahead of the curve
- To do this, you’ll build a high impact team around you and find effective ways of unlocking all the assets available to you through the corporate partner and Rainmaking

**Requirements**:

- You will have a deep interest in the clean energy transition and the role of hydrogen specifically
- You will have expertise building and operating a solution and team that has both hardware and digital / software components, deeply understanding the interactions between the two
- You’ll have operated effectively in a nascent space and enjoy the challenge and opportunity this brings. This is a chance to write the playbook, rather than improving on earlier iterations
- You’ll bring a baseline of technical expertise and be able to speak the IoT language well, then ultimately will hire a top class CTO to partner with you on this journey
- You’ll bring entrepreneurial depth having built a number of businesses, either through the corporate route or ‘in the wild’. This could also be through launching and scaling multiple B2B digital products with success, especially if they have a hardware element to them
- You’ll bring strong business development experience required to secure all the partnerships to ensure the model operates effectively, with an appreciation for long, international BD cycles
- Ideally you’ll already be embedded in the energy space, understanding the mechanics and key ecosystem players, ranging from project developers through to policy players and offtakers, appreciating the complexity and regulatory landscape
- You’ll be a top class leader who operates with integrity and is able to effectively build and engage teams on this journey
- You have deep problem-solving skills to tackle the macro and the micro. You’ll be skilled with lean startup and broader entrepreneurial methodologies, utilizing as appropriate
