Construction / Project Engineer

**The Role**:
**What’s the role?**

You will be responsible for the project management of small/medium sized capital projects, planning and construction for Production Unit’s Non-Routine Maintenance / Catalyst Change / Pit Stop / Plant Change Request activities.

More specifically, your accountabilities include the following:

- Responsible for the Planning and Execution of PU's Non-Routine Maintenance (NRM) activities like planned unit shutdown, catalyst change and plant change tasks.
- Manage capital projects (post-FID) in EXECUTE phase in accordance to project process, ensure robust design is carried out as per DEP and external standards until IFC (Issued for Construction) This may involve managing in-house designers or Engineering Contractor Partners (EPC).
- To execute construction phase of capital projects accordance to the Opportunity Realization Process (ORP), and ensure safe delivery, meeting quality, within cost & schedule of projects.
- Manage contractors in the successful execution of mechanical construction activities associated with capital projects and meeting the project objectives including HSSE, Quality, Schedule & Cost.
- Accountable for one or more of the following construction activities of a project: fabrication, integration, transport, installation, hook-up in accordance with the cost, schedule, quality and HSSE targets.
- Provide up-front constructability input to project specifications, standards and execution strategies that are aligned with the project needs and recognition of contractor capacities and capabilities.
- Execute communication systems, documentation controls and performance metrics for management and timely response to queries, non-conformance reports, and change order requests between the site team, design team, fabricator, and installer.
- Ensure execution of the work is in accordance with contractor construction engineering deliverables.
- Monitor performance of the work against the schedule and look ahead plan.
- Execute sub-contractor management protocols for review and approval of submitted sub-contractors, ensure HSSE and Quality plans are implemented and resource verification personnel to ensure compliance.
- Interface with fabricator and inspectors to ensure adherence to the performance standards, drawings, and specifications.

**What we need from you**

We hope to see as many of the following in your CV:

- Possesses at least a minimum a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years construction (or maintenance) background / experience in several execution aspects of project delivery (fabrication, integration, onshore installation and commissioning/start-up).
- Good understanding of the various international mechanical standards, e.g., ASME/BS; as well as DEP requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work in a team environment and handle multiple responsibilities with mínimal supervision.
