Junior Sous Chef/sous Chef

Job Description: We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Founder to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen and the delivery of exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist Founder in planning and executing menus that showcase creativity and excellence in taste and presentation.
- Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of food and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in placing orders to ensure optimal supplies and ingredient freshness.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting skill development and adherence to food safety standards.
- Contribute to menu development, including creating new dishes and optimizing existing recipes.
- Assist in managing food costs, portion control, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary working environment, following all health and safety regulations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, techniques, and ingredients to continuously enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook, Commis Chef, or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food presentation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate leadership skills when required.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and other departments.
- Passion for culinary arts and a desire to continuously learn and grow in the field.
