**Job Description**:
A sonographer is responsible for providing high quality ultrasound imaging service to patients in a prompt and professional manner.

**The Challenges**

**Responsibilities and Duties**

You will be responsible for the following**:

- To perform clinical imaging duties in ultrasound.
- To assist consultants in ultrasound guided procedures.
- To oversee the smooth operations of the ultrasound section and ensure proper usage and care of equipment of the section at all times.
- To ensure quality assurance programmes are implemented and observed as well as initiate system improvement within the section.
- To deliver accurate and speedy imaging outputs at all times.
- To produce desired results effectively within given duration and allocated resources.
- To handle difficult situations like patients’ complaints and queries within the department/ section promptly and effectively.
- To render prompt and courteous service delivery to external and internal customers.
- To ensure efficient patient turnaround time per examination.
- To plan, organize and prioritize assigned tasks such that all are completed effectively and on time.

To adhere to safe work practices especially safety and infection control.

Job Requirements:
Qualification:

- Diploma/Degree in Diagnostic Radiography / Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Accredited by recognized institutions/organizations e.g. Diploma/Degree in Medical Ultrasonography, Graduate diploma in medical Ultrasonography (DMU). American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Experience:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in clinical ultrasound.
