**About this role**

This is a newly created role which will be part of the Bitcastle team. Bitcastle is a cryptocurrency exchange platform which aims to create a new age of exchange where everyone can use it safely and have fun. As we expand and take a more active approach to global expansion, we are looking for a legal and licensing specialist to join our legal affairs team.

**About the job**

Your main areas of responsibility are:

- Track and report on the status of all licensing activities, follow up in a timely manner with all relevant stakeholders
- Manage current licences and ensure requirements are met to maintain the licence
- Conduct research on regulatory requirements, licences and any legal matters related to bitcastle’s business
- Legal administration - legal documents with vendors, customers, partners, and consultant
- Assist with legal proceedings against slander and libel
- Assist with litigation cases and responses if they arise

**Minimum Requirements**
- Business level Japanese and English Speaker
- Minimum 1 year experience in legal/ compliance/ operations at a cryptocurrency or web3 company
- Interested in/familiar with Cryptocurrency/Blockchain/Web 3/NFT
- Able to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Experience working with regulators in the cryptocurrency space, with experience in obtaining licences
- Familiar with regulatory and legal requirements regarding cryptocurrency
