**About raiSE and the role**

We believe that Social Enterprises are the Future of Businesses. They are geared towards a double bottom line of achieving intentional social impact creation alongside sustainable financial returns. The Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise, raiSE was launched in 2015 to raise awareness of Social Enterprises and to provide end-to-end enterprise development support to help Social Enterprises in Singapore build capabilities to scale.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1.Sourcing and Engagement
- Source and evaluate new startup leads through active engagement in the ecosystem.
- Attend industry events, networking sessions, and startup meetups to build a robust pipeline.
- Establish and maintain relationships with founders, ecosystem partners, and accelerators to identify promising early-stage startups.

2.Grant Coordination and Portfolio Management:

- Assess startups’ alignment with raiSE’s mandate and prepare presentation materials for grant and investment committee’s evaluation.
- Prepare funding contracts, monitor milestone progress and manage the disbursement of grants, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines.
- Act as the primary relationship manager for portfolio startups, providing strategic guidance and support.
- Conduct regular check-ins with portfolio companies to monitor progress and address challenges.

3.Strategic Planning and Development:

- Coordinate grant calls, pitching sessions, demo days, and other showcase opportunities for portfolio companies.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership within the social enterprise ecosystem.
- Collect and analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness of funding programmes and identify growth strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

4.Stakeholder Engagement:

- Engage with key stakeholders, including thought leaders, industry experts, government agencies, corporate partners, and other social sector organisations.
- Represent raiSE at networking/industry events, conferences, and meetings to share about raiSE and our funding programmes.

**Qualifications**:

- Educational background in Finance, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in grant management, member relations, or a similar role. Prior experience working in or with start-ups and the start-up community would be ideal.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong understanding of the social enterprise sector and its unique challenges would be preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and connect with diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently and as part of a lean team while retaining the confidence to contribute different perspectives and guide discussions toward effective decisions.
- A strong belief in the social enterprise model as a sustainable approach to addressing societal challenges, coupled with a genuine passion for creating social impact.
