Responsibilities

Course-based responsibilities
- Assist the teaching faculty in the preparation of materials for lessons.
- Support research faculty in the laboratory-based courses (e.g., undergraduate students’ Final Year Project and URECA).

Research-based responsibilities
- Maintenance of the laboratory equipment and resources (e.g., apparatuses, chemicals, etc.).
- Handling and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments (training provided).

Administrative responsibilities
- Ensuring laboratory safety and assisting in laboratory safety audits.
- Housekeeping of laboratories.
- Purchasing and procurement of laboratory resources.
- Any other department-related administrative work assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Requirements
- A Polytechnic Diploma in Biology and Biology-related fields.
- Minimum 1-year of relevant working experience in a science or related environment.
- Experience in providing technical support to students in higher education will be an added advantage.
- High level of safety awareness.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and work effectively in a team.
- Hard working, responsible, committed, with self-discipline.
