Senior Manager, Regional Communications

Oversee the communications function of Chemetall’s Surface Treatment business in Asia Pacific - including marketing communications and branding, digital marketing, media and public relations, crisis communications as well as employee communications and engagement.
- Drive the effective use of digital marketing and communications channels across the organization to increase the reach and effectiveness of external campaigns, improve internal efficiency and knowledge sharing, and support new business opportunities.
- Guide and support the delivery of a consistent, high-quality branding message for Chemetall’s products and services.
- Support the global and regional leadership in fostering a high level of awareness and engagement among internal and external stakeholders to enable the organization to successfully meet its business objectives.
- Liaise with Chemetall / BASF Communications community members to ensure effective messaging across regions.

- Develop and Implement a Communications & Digital Marketing strategy for Chemetall in Asia Pacific region.
- Proactively support the communications needs across the region.
- Liaise with the global Chemetall communications community and global, regional and local BASF Communications teams.
- Develop, implement and manage initiatives for effective digital marketing and communications programs.
- Manage external communication channels including social media platorms, company websites and media relations.
- Ensure that Communications are adherng to the company's brand guideline.
- Support special events and change management activities from a Communications perspective.
- Manage issue and crisis communications, in collaboration with global, regional and local communications teams and other stakeholders.
- Develop and execute high impact multimedia campaigns to support products, technologies, and services to meet business objectives.
- Assist the head of business in efficient communications within the unit in Asia Pacific. Drives concept and preparation of, eg, townhall sessions, coffee chats, video messages, employee newsletters. Creates and implements effective employee communications strategies to drive employee engagement and change across Asia Pacific.
- Support and collaborate in the launch of new products.
- Manage the Asia Pacific Communications budget and spending.
- Manage and approve supply contracts of promotional items.
- Support Regional Segment team and local Marketing Managers on promotional activities (Trade shows, Associations, Customer Symposia etc.).

Minimum Education and Qualification_**
- University degree in communications, marketing, business or related field with multi-disciplinary and international orientation preferred
- At least 8 years of work experience leading a Communications or branding or digital marketing function in B2B environment, preferably in a multinational Chemical company with matrix structure.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English - knowledge of other regional languages a plus.
- Expert skills in PR and media work with in-depth knowledge for crisis communication.
- In-depth knowledge of online and offline marketing as well as branding strategy - with strategic and hands-on experience leading and executing digital marketing campaigns.
- Ability to get internal stakeholder buy in for major communications initiatives.
- Sound project and event management skills (ability to set guidelines and deadlines, manage budgets etc).
- Strong creative and conceptual abilities (planning, analytical, creative, client and goal oriented).
- Outstanding journalistic writing skills.
