Reporting to Chief Underwriter and Head of Claims - South East Asia & HNW, the Senior Claims Consultant will work in the Munich Re Singapore claims team focused on technical claims assessment and providing exceptional client/customer service.

**Your Job**
- Assess claims on a portfolio of CI, TPD, LTC, Death and provide expert advice to clients on said portfolio
- Advise and support client companies on disputed / complex claims, claims management practices and assessments procedures
- Be an expert or have the ability to become an expert on reinsurance treaties, reinsurance procedures and training
- Working in partnership with Regional Claims, to draft, maintain and improve internal claims guidelines
- Involvement in quotations for new and existing treaties, including creation of appropriate claims guidelines for all products
- Building and maintaining client relationships
- The ability to lead and participate in audits of client companies, including providing analysis of risk mitigation and practical solutions on business improvements
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including client management, pricing, underwriting and regional claims and underwriting with a view to managing and highlighting key risks for the portfolio
- Work collaboratively within the Munich Re Singapore team to drive process and technical improvements on claims
- Actively involved with industry associations and groups including representing the interests of Munich Re when required
- Undertaking training and seminar sessions with clients as required

**Your Profile**
- 8-10 years of life insurance experience in a senior claims role - whether as a senior claims consultant or a claims manager
- Reinsurance life claims experience would be desirable but not essential. Knowledge of reinsurance practices will be an advantage
- Very strong technical competencies assessing CI, TPD, Death, LTC claims in the Asian region
- Experience in claims auditing (internal quality assurance) will be an advantage
- Language abilities in either Thai, Mandarin, Malay (Bahasa), Indonesian (verbal and written) will be looked upon favourably
- Qualifications in science, medical science, pharmacy, insurance related studies would be beneficial
- Willingness to undertake client audits (within and outside of Singapore
- Asia region)
