DESIGNATION : Senior/Principal Engineer - Product Reliability

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Product Reliability**:
In-depth understanding of the module structure - materials - process relations and degradation mechanisms.

Develop test protocols and characterization methods/tools to improve reliability of existing and new PV products.

**Module Design**:
Design the PV products to improve reliability.

**Process Development**:
Bring and implement improved processes to improve the product reliability.

**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist R&D and process teams with technical analyses, troubleshooting and improvement projects.
- Plan, coordinate and execute product enhancements to module design with external collaborators.
- Drive project schedule and technical enquiries.
- Strategize testing/characterization methods.

QUALIFICATIONS
- MSc / PhD in Engineering or Science is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Product Research & Development / Manufacturing background.
- Knowledge of the functionalities of PV module components.
- Knowledge in characterization and analysis.
- Knowledge and understanding of the various standards of the PV product reliability testing (e.g. IEC, UL).
- Knowledge of and experience in the test protocols on product reliability (e.g. DH, TC, HF, LID).
- Possess excellent project management skills, keeping track of key milestones and deliverables and providing regular updates to management team.
- Working experience in Solar/Semiconductors/Electronics manufacturing industries is an advantage, but not necessary.
- **Failure Analysis**:Leading FA from technical points. Creating test methodology to analyze failure samples and find out the root cause. Documenting FA report based on technical understanding.
- **Documentation**: Experience in documentation of experimental observations & data in publications / literature.
- **Software**: Matlab, Finite element modelling and analysis (e.g. Solidworks, ANSYS), PVSyst
