**About the team**
**APAC Partnerships**
At GBG we develop a variety of software and data intelligence solutions to help companies comply with AML regulations, detect and investigate fraud attacks and make decisions about customer risk. Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, Identity and Bureau, APAC at GBG - this role sits on the APAC Partnerships team - we are passionate, we are customer obsessed, we have strong technology and financial crime industry knowledge. Most importantly, we are here to make a strong and positive impact by bringing niche solutions to combat fraud and help our clients.
**The Role**
The Data Partner Manager will be required to help manage and develop commercial relationships with a range of global data and product suppliers; identify and qualify opportunities in APAC; and develop the commercial link between product & sales. You will also have extensive interactions with numerous internal GBG departments with whom you will work closely.
**What you will do**
- Develop, document, and communicate an on-going level of expertise of the markets and sectors that we are targeting, and identify potential data partners and data sources.
- Manage existing data partners within the region and in some cases liaise with the global teams to manage the relationship with global suppliers for APAC
- Using knowledge acquired throughout the market investigation phase, initiate new supplier engagement and lead negotiations until a deal is reached
- Consolidate and manage global data contracts, and renegotiate them to suit the business needs
- Strategize with the Identity Product Management team on the right solution proposition for target markets
- Work closely with colleagues in Compliance, Legal and Infosec to ensure data transparency before contracting with suppliers
- Work closely with product, sales and senior managers to align our commercials
- Be the key go-to person between GBG and suppliers that you manage, and support enquiries associated with the supplier and/or contracts
- Work closely with the Head of Identity Partnerships to ensure our offerings are superior and holistic in target markets
- Any other duties as may be required, commensurate with the role
**Requirements**:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Confidence and business awareness to persuasively present a case to internal and external stakeholders
- Good understanding of numbers and ability to translate it to commercial terms
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuade and influence at all levels
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage one’s own workload
- Ability to liaise with all levels of management
- Flexibility with reference to working hours and travel requirements
- Experience with partner lifecycle management
**Must Have**
- A minimum of 5 years in partner management or similar roles
- A go-getter and an excellent team player
- Experience working with and managing partners within APAC is a must
